STARCOM MINI TANK - Lexi's Toy Loft

The Shadow Force Starcom Mini-Tank was released by Mattel in 1989 as part of the fourth series. It was only available in Europe and can be a hard heicle to find now, especially witha working mechanism. It came with a figure but the figure was not specific and so there will be examples of it coming with different figures.

A driver could be placed in the main cockpit and gunner could be placed at the rear after pulling out a platform. The magnet on top of the vehicle allowed it to be picked up by vehicles such as the Shadow Bandit.

The power deploy button is found at the rear of the vehicle. When pressed the cockpit slides up and the large guns pop out. The side guns have to be opened manually, as does the rear figure holder and top canopy.

The Mini-Tank came with a random Shadow Force figure. A specific figure was not assigned to the vehicle. In the later series carded figures were added to the vehicles instead of them having specific pilots/ drivers.

The Starcom Mini-Tank came boxed in a small Mattel branded cardboard box. It came with cardboard inserts, instruction sheet and stickers. It also came with a figure.
