SERIES 1 (1986)

SHADOW BANDIT

The Shadow Bandit is part of Shadow Force’s Robot drone attack force. The vehicle is described as being a pod lifter with one pilot. Its mission profile is described as Pod-theft. Its missions are to capture valuable fuel, weapons, ammo and new technology from Starcom.

In attack mode the wings are up and the lifter arm is raised. It becomes a powerful maneuverable fighter craft capable of inflicting heavy damage on Starcom targets.

In bandit mode the wings lower to surround target. The lifter arm extends down to bring the magna lock lifter in contact with metal plates on Starcom or Shadow Force pods and vehicles. The release drops cargo on command.

It is armed with twin decimator wing cannons-Thermal (heat ray) blast weapons.

The power deploy is activated using a large grey button at the rear. It is pressed in to make both wings rise up. When pressed again they should slowly lower back into position. The vehicle has two other features! You can see this and the other features in the video below.

There is a also a button to raise the cockpit which is found next to the cockpit.

There is a trigger which brings the magna lock magnetic lifter out. This is used to grab pods. The other smaller grey button at the rear of the vehicle is the magna lock release. This will make the vehicle drop whatever pod it is carrying.
