SHADOW BLAST TRACK

The Shadow Blast Track was released in 1988 as part of series 3. It came with a random figure and no specific driver. This vehicle is very hard to find complete and with a working mechanism. Four figures can be sat in the front and one can be sat in the tank turret. More figures can be sat in the rear of the vehicle or a Shadow Invader can be placed inside.

This tank is part of the Shadow Force Invasion Battle Group (Shadow Forces ground force). The technical profile states that the Shadow Blast Track is a high-speed ground patrol; armored wedge preceding ground troops; search and destroy missions. The vehicles tactical speciality is described as escorting Invasion troops for large-scale ground attacks; thud barraging defenders; high-speed recon and patrol operations. The crew capacity is stated to be a driver, navigator, 2 gunners and 8 combat troops.

There are two power deploy buttons on this vehicle. One is found inside the cockpit at the front. When the front canopy is lowered, this button can be pressed and the canopy will go back into place.

Behind the front seating there is a yellow lever (picture two below). When the canopy closes this lever is pressed and the turret rises. The gun turret can also be risen by pressing the yellow button at the back.

PARTS

The Shadow Blast Track came with two small side guns that are often snapped off. It also came with a large gun turret that has two delicate pieces that flip up for the gunner seat. These two small pieces are often missing or broken. The front gun is often in place but can be removed quite easily.

INCLUDED FIGURE

The Shadow Blast Track came with a random Shadow Force figure. A specific figure was not assigned to the vehicle. In the later series carded figures were added to the vehicles instead of them having specific pilots/ drivers.
