SHADOW RAIDER

The Shadow Raider is part of Shadow Force’s Robot Drone Attack Force. The vehicle came with the figure CAP. Battlecron-9. The tracks were manually turned to make the vehicle stand taller and enable it to pick up pods and smaller vehicles. The vehicle seats a driver in the cockpit and two gunners at the rear.

The Power Deploy button open the vehicle up and enables a gun to pop up. The gun often pops off the vehicle as it flicks up quickly and was not connected very well.

The technical profile describes the vehicle as a ‘sneak attack’ vehicle. It states that SGT. Hack and CPL. Agon-6 were gunners for the vehicle.

STANDBY MODE

BATTLE MODE

In attack mode the vehicle opens to deploy body sections, cannon and guns for maximum firepower. In speed mode the tracks go into vertical position for high ground clearance. The magna locl lifter can be used to carru cargo pods or vehicles.

POWER DEPLOY & MAGNA LOCK

A switch on top of the vehicle opens up the main body. A cannon then pops up and gunner seats are revealed. The front guns also pop out. The treads are raised manually to make the vehicle taller. The cockpit has a button to open the canopy.

The Magna Lock feature was found underneath the vehicle. The Shadow Raider can hold pods and small vehicle underneath its body with a magnet. The switch shown below drops whatever it is holding.

PARTS

The Shadow Raider came with four treads that unfortunately came off quite easily. There were two specific ones for each side and they were marked ‘R’ and ‘L.’ The top gun also popped off sometime when the power deploy was activated.

PACKAGING

The Shadow Raider was was packaged with CAPT. Battlecron-9. There was a U.S. version of the Coleco box and also a European version (with the U.S. aspects taken off). It was also later released on a Mattel box without the U.S. aspects.
