MEDICAL BAY ACTION POD

The Medical Bay Pod is part of the Starbase Command Battle Group. It has a diagnostic terminal, movable scanner shield, powerpack recharger with hose, pivoting X-ray scanner, sliding operating table and metal panels allowing magnetic figures to lock on. The technical profile states it is crewed by a chief surgeon and emergency medical crew. In transport mode it closes to a standard cargo pod and can be tranported by most Starcom vehicles. In emergency mode it opens to deploy medical equipment for treatment of combat casualties. The equipment includes an X-ray scanner-rapid diagnostic system, diagnostic terminal-bio-logic computer and powerpack recharging system.

The Medical Bay Pod was manually transformed into emergency mode. It wa opened apart and and the medical bay bed could be pulled out and cover liften up. The X-Ray scanner and computer fold out for use.

COMBINED PODS

The four pods could be locked together to create a circular fortress.

PACKAGING

The Action Pods came boxed with cardboard inserts. They came in a U.S. Coleco box which had a technical profile. The second Coleco box had all U.S. aspects removed and no technical profile. The pods also came in a Mattel box and this also did not have a technical profile.
