The Visionaries toyline unfortunately only lasted one series. They were great toys, but were more expensive to make due to the holograms. A second series was planned and prototypes were made but never sold to the public. The second series of the toys was shown in the 1988 Hasbro Toy Fair magazine. There were 16 planned Visionaries figures, six Sun Imp figures and six vehicles. Each of the new Visionaries figures had a helmet, shield and weapon. The Sun Imps appeared in one of the Visionaries cartoon episodes. The Holodrome Iron Mountain Playset prototype is also shown below. The original figure cardbacks had a picture of this on the back and lovers of the toyline hoped that it would be made! Click the picture for more information.
