1983 (series 2)

ACE

Ace was released in 1983 as part of series 2. He was sold in 1984 and 1985 and was discontinued in 1986. He came packaged exclusively with the G.I. Joe X14-F Sky Striker. 

He was also available from 1988 to 1994 via mail order offer through Hasbro Direct. In 1989 Ace was available packaged with Lampreys (1985), Keel-Haul (1985), Strato-Viper (1986), and Motor Viper (1986) in the ” Special Missions Drivers” set. He could also be ordered individually.

Body Mould

Ace had a moulded flight suit. The helmet clipped over his head and stayed in place. On his chest he has a knife in sheath and a gun in holster. He has tubes leading to a box which looks like it would be the oxygen control. he has pockets on both biceps. He has another moulded box on his back.

 

ACCESSORIES

Ace came with a helmet and a parachute. The helmet fitted onto his flight suit.  The parachute could attach to one of the Skystrikers seats and when thrown in the air, Ace could parachute down. The parachute was blue with strings and came with some instructions on how to use it.

Ace came boxed exclusively with the Skystriker vehicle. 

ACTION FORCE RELEASE

Ace was also released as part of the Palitoy Action Force (U.K. and Europe) toyline in 1985. It was also released in 1987 under Hasbro in the U.K. and Europe.
