PFC. Shawn Reed. Fuel pumper Reed is a combat trooper of Starbase Command, Starcom’s fleet of space battle stations. He’s proud of his technical speciality but he’s also a combat soldier who keeps his fighting edge sharp at all times!

PFC. Shawn Reed has a Starbase Command symbol on his left breast. His face is clean shaven. He has his rank motif on his left and right arms.
The Starcom figures have two pins either side of their helmets. A visor attaches to to the pins and can be placed up or down. There are two holes on the back so that a backpack can be fixed to it. The boots have two magnets so figures can connect to magnetic surfaces. The arms can only move in one direction but the legs have joints at the knee
ACCESSORIES
PFC. Shawn Reed came with a backpack, gun, connector cable and visor. The cable connected the backpack to the gun. The visors were fragile and they broke very easily. As the parts were very small, many have been lost over the years.

PFC. Shawn Reed originally came on a Coleco cardback. The U.S. cards had a filecard with information about the figure on it. They also had an American flag and the toys were part of the U.S. Space Force. Toys released in othe countries had the U.S. aspects removed. He was later released on a Mattel cardback which does not have the filecard information. He also came on a double cardback with the Shadow Force figure LT. Vaser.
He also came with the Shadow Force Action set along with CAP. Hydrone, CPL. Cronax, General Von Dar, Emperor Dark, and COL. John Griffin. The Starcom figures were described as being prisoners of Shadow Force!
In the later series there were no specific figures that came with vehicles. Random cardback figures were added to the vehicles.
