ACTION FORCE 1985 (THIRD SERIES)

DOC

Doc

Medical Doctor

Born: Kingston, Jamaica

An avowed pacifist, Doc believes totally in Action Force, gives medical and spiritual help to whoever needs it, no matter how dangerous the situation is.

Doc was the Action Force medic. He came with a flare gun and a stretcher. The stretcher could clip onto two figures and be used to carry another figure (this is shown in the gallery below!).

Body Mould

Doc has moulded sunglasses covering his eyes. Doc has pouches all up the front of his chest. He has two pouches on the front of his belt. He has two pockets on his rear and two pouches on his left leg. Despite being a pacifist he has a gun in holster on his right leg.

The stretcher could be held by two figures to carry a third. The stretcher clipped onto the figure arms.

ACCESSORIES

Doc came with a flare gun, helmet and stretcher. The stretcher could be clipped on two Action Force figures and a third could lie on it. This would simulate two figures rescuing an injured comrade from a war zone!

PACKAGING

Doc came as a carded figure. The figure cards continued to have the mail order offer. You collected five medals and could then send off for a free mail order figure. The mail order figure with this series was the Infantryman.

LOOKS FAMILIAR

The stretcher was also used with the Armed Personel Carrier but in a different colour.

A black flare gun also came with the German Plizist figure. A red version of the flare gun came with the second series Z Force Medic.

G.I. JOE U.S. RELEASE

Despite being released in the U.K. in 1985, Doc was first released in the U.S. in 1983.

DATAFILE

Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the characters and had some great artwork.
