Arctic Assault

The Arctic Assault figure came with a back pack, ladder and a silver SA80 gun. The ladder could be stored in the back pack.

The same body mould was used for the Ground Assault figure.

The Arctic Assault figure was based on the original Action Man Arctic Assault uniform. He was released as part of the second wave of figures, on 2nd October 1982.

Body Mould

The Arctic Assault figure had a moulded helmet with a microphone. On the top of the helmet was a red eagle symbol. The figure has two pouches on both hips. He has a belt which has a pouch at the front and a knife and water bottle at the back. He has pockets on the sides of each leg.

ACCESSORIES

The Arctic Assault came with a silver SA80 machine gun, a white ladder back pack and a white ladder that fitted inside the back pack. The back pack connected to the body of the figure with two straps. The ladder could be folded and placed in the hole at the top of the back pack.

PACKAGING

The Arctic Assault figure came on a card back. The medal number for this figure was 15.

File Card

On the back of the card back you could see pictures of other figures and vehicles available in the Action Force line. There was also a mail order offer for the Commander figure. Each figure had a form on the back of the card and one medal with a number in it. Five medals could be attached to the form and sent off to get a Commander figure.

Variants

The Arctic Assault version one was camouflaged and had a red eagle symbol. Version two was camouflaged without the red eagle symbol. Version three was like version one but with a round mouthpiece. Version four was like version two but with a round mouthpiece.

VARIANTS

The Arctic Assault was a variant of the Ground Assault figure. He also looks very similar to the Mountain and Arctic figure but they are not quite the same.

Palitoy released an Arctic Assault figure through the Action Man toy line (Special Teams) which this figure was based on.

VARIANTS

The silver SA80 also came with the first series Ground Assault figure. The Second Series Security Trooper was also originally packaged with a silver SA80.
