COMMANDO

Commando

The Commando came with a silver Sterling SMG (sub-machine gun) and a black radio back pack.

The back pack had a headset that could be placed onto the figures head. It could also be stored on the pack itself. 

The  Commando figure was based on the original Action Man Commando uniform.  He was released as part of the first twelve figures in the early summer of 1982.

Body Mould

The Commando has a moulded peaked hat. He has ammo belts going across and over his torso, with grenades on his left breast. He has large ammo storage pockets on his left and right hips. He has a water bottle and knife on his lower back.

ACCESSORIES

The Commando came with a silver Sterling SMG (Sub-machine gun) and a radio back pack. The back pack has two straps to attach it to the figure. It has a radio head set attached by a wire. The headset can be placed on the figures headset but also on a clip on the back pack.

PACKAGING

The Commando figure came as a carded figure. 

File Card

On the back of the card back you could see pictures of other figures and vehicles available in the Action Force line. There was also a mail order offer for the Commander figure. Each figure had a form on the back of the card and one medal with a number in it. Five medals could be attached to the form and sent off to get a Commander figure. 

VARIANTS

Version one of the Commando had light green painted webbing pouches. Version two had unpainted webbing pouches.

LOOKS FAMILIAR

The Commando mould was also used for the Second Series SAS Commando, Stake-Out (Boat Patrol set) and Z Force Sapper. It was also used for the German version of the SAS Commando (Schnellfeuer).

The silver SMG also came with the first series Naval Assault figure and the second series Space Patroller.

The radio back pack also came with the second series Radio Operator, SAS Battle gear. and the German Brecher figure.
