ACTION FORCE 1982 (FIRST SERIES)

DEEP SEA DIVER

DEEP SEA DIVER

The Deep Sea Diver came exclusively with the AF7 vehicle. He came with a red hammer (that can be quite hard to find) and a tube.  The tube could attach to his helmet. When he was underwater, if air was blown down the tube bubbles would come out of the figures head.

The  Deep Sea Diver figure was based on the original Action Man Deep Sea Diver outfit.

The Deep Sea Diver has a moulded diver helmet, diving suit and weighted boots. The figures face can still be seen through the helmet front. He has a belt around his waist and he has a knife on his lower left leg.

ACCESSORIES

The Deep Sea Diver came with a red hammer and plastic tube. The hammer is often missing and can be quite hard to find. The tubing could be placed in the Diver’s helmet and bubbles could be blown when the figure was underwater.

File Card

On the back of the card back you could see pictures of other figures and vehicles available in the Action Force line. There was also a mail order offer for the Commander figure. Each figure had a form on the back of the card and one medal with a number in it. Five medals could be attached to the form and sent off to get a Commander figure.

The Deep Sea Diver did not have a medal number.

VARIANTS

The figure can be found with a white belt at the front and grey belt at the back. He can also be found with a grey belt that goes all around the waist.

LOOKS FAMILIAR

The Deep Sea Diver mould was later used for the Second Series Q Force Deep Sea Defender. The Red Shadows Muton figure was based on the same mould but has a different head.

The Action Man toy line had a Deep Sea Diver figure outfit that this figure was based on.
