U.S. PARATROOPER
The U.S. Paratrooper was a figure that had a lot of accessories. A working parachute came with this figure along with a harness and straps to connect it to him. There were four straps in total which all connected to the parachute and the harness that went around the figure. The designers did a very good job with the harness and parachute. It is fragile but looks great.
He also came with a brown grease gun, machete, ammo box and detonator. He can be hard to find complete with all accessories. The parachute has been known to degrade over time too.
The brown accessories were changed to the colour black for the Second Series Para-Attack figure.
The U.S. Paratrooper figure was based on the original Action Man U.S. Paratrooper uniform. He was released as part of the first twelve figures in the early summer of 1982.

Body Mould
The U.S. Paratrooper has a moulded helmet with chin strap. He has webbing that goes over his front torso and across his back. At the base of his spine he has a water bottle. On his left lower leg he has a knife in sheath.
ACCESSORIES
The U.S. Paratrooper came with a brown grease gun, machete, ammo box and detonator. He also came with a harness that strapped around his body. It even has two holes that his legs go through ensuring the figure stays in place. There were four straps that connected from the harness to two holes on the parachute. The straps had a connecting piece that went on the harness and then two straps that connected with the holes in the parachute. Finally there was a cream parachute which had eight holes in total where the straps connected.

PACKAGING
The U.S. Paratrooper figure came as a carded figure.
File Card
On the back of the card back you could see pictures of other figures and vehicles available in the Action Force line. There was also a mail order offer for the Commander figure. Each figure had a form on the back of the card and one medal with a number in it. Five medals could be attached to the form and sent off to get a Commander figure. The U.S. Paratrooper medal number was 10. Two medals were supplied with this card as it would have been more expensive than the other figures.

LOOKS FAMILIAR
The U.S. Paratrooper accessories were changed to the colour black for the Second Series S.A.S. Para Attack figure Sparrow-Hawk.
The brown machete also came with the Australian Jungle Fighter and the Helicopter Pilot.
The brown grapple hook also came with the Naval Assault and SAS figures.
