In 1986 Mattel released the toy series Bravestarr. The toys were released a year before the cartoon by Filmation launched. The cartoon ran for one series and had 65 episodes. The Bravestarr movie was released in 1988. The toys were eight inches tall and looked quite different to the other, smaller figures that were being produced by lots of other toy companies. 

Most of the larger figures had a button that gave them an arm action and enabled them to raise their arms. This gave some figures the effect of drawing a weapon like in a wild west draw!
