Madballs were created by the company AmToy in the 1980s. The toys used gross-out humour designs and looked absolutley fantastic. The original toys were foam balls but they later created the action figures shown below. The action figures heads were hard balls that could be placed on the body. A button on the back of the figures fired the heads upwards. The figures had movable armsn with elbow joints and legs. The plastic pins that the heads clipped onto are often found damaged as they are quite fragile. There was an animated cartoon made of the Madballs in 1986 that went straight to video.
