SGT VON RODD (STARMADA)

SGT. Von Rodd. Gunner Von Rodd is an attack trooper of Starmada, the Shadow Force’s air and space fleet. He is notorious among his own men for his reckless combat tactics, sometimes hitting his own ships in his frenzy to shoot down Starcom targets!

He is the gunner for the Shadow Vampire vehicle.

Body Mould

SGT. Von Rodd has a Shadow Force symbol on the front of his chest. He has a moustache and beard. He has rank symbols on each of his shoulders.

There are two holes in the back so that a backpack can be fixed to it. The boots have two magnets so figures can connect to magnetic surfaces. The arms can only move in one direction but the legs have joints at the knee.

ACCESSORIES

SGT. Von Rodd came with a backpack, gun, connector cable and visor. The cable connected the backpack to the gun. As the accessories were very small, many have been lost over the years.

SGT. Von Rodd originally came on a Coleco cardback. The American cards had a filecard with information about the figure on it but the European Coleco cardbacks did not (they also had the U.S. Space information removed). He was then released on a Mattel cardback which also does not have the filecard information.

In the later series there were no specific figures that came with vehicles. Random cardback figures were added to the vehicles.
