The Radio backpacks came with a radio headset that could connect to the figures head or be stored on the side of the pack.

• A black version of this pack came with the first series Commando, the second series Radio operator and the SAS Battle Gear. 
• A red version came with the second series Q Force Sonar Officer. Version one of the red backpack was made of a softer plastic. Version two was made of a harder plastic. A red radio backpack also came with the German TSATT Phoner figure.
