LASER EXTERMINATOR
Laser Exterminator
Described as the most deadly weapon in the Enemies Armoury.
The Laser Exterminator came with the figure Red Laser (a repaint of Cobra Commander). There was a small console for him in front of the seat. It had one seat for the red Laser figure. It could be turned around and raised up and down. It had a two tow parts that could hook onto tow hooks on vehicles such as the Hyena.
The Laser Exterminator is described as the most deadly weapon in the Enemies armoury. It came with the Red Laser figure who is a repaint of the G.I. Joe Cobra Commander figure. He could be sat in the gunner seat and had a control console to look into.
The vehicle had two wheels and a fold out plastic strut at the rear. The vehicle could be towed by other vehicles such as the Shadowtrak and Hyena. The gun could be turned around in a circle and be raised up and down.
The leg strut and control console are easily lost and often missing. There is also a “clicker” part that keeps the gun in place when it is raised. This part is often found to be broken or missing.
The Laser Exterminator vehicle appeared in this TV commercial.

PACKAGING
The Laser Exterminator came boxed with the Red Laser figure. There were also some versions that were boxed with a Red Shadow figure.

VARIANTS
The German version of the Red Shadows Laser Exterminator was called the Laser-Schleuder. The German boxes were all cardboard with no plastic windows. The German version did not have the Red Shadows skull emblem.
The Laser Exterminator was a repaint of the G.I. Joe HAL.
G.I. JOE RELEASE
In 1982 the Laser Exterminator was sold as part of the G.I. Joe line. The original G.I. Joe toy was called the Heavy Artillery Laser (HAL) and it came with the figure Grandslam. It came in a different colour and had different stickers and a different box.
DATAFILE
Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the vehicles and characters and had some great artwork.
