Triad Fighter

Mother ship with two independant, detachable explorers. Rotating wings.


The Action force Triad Fighter came with the figure Moondancer version one. He came with a helmet and visor.

The Triad Fighter has the middle ‘mother ship’ and two smaller detachable explorer pods. The part that holds the smaller pods can be turned around 360 degrees to act as rockets for the mother ship. 

The Triad Fighter has a windscreen in the centre pod that raises up and down. The two smaller pods also have windscreens that can be removed completely.

The Triad Fighter has two engine parts that attach to the back of the ‘mother ship.’ The smaller parts have two smaller engines each that attach to their rear. The engine parts are often missing as they are small. The smaller pod engines fall out quite easily.

The Triad Fighter came with two engines for the ‘mother ship.’ It had four small engines and the two smaller pilot pods had two engines each on them The ‘mother ship’ had a windscreen that went up and down. The smaller pods had a clear canopy each that were completely removed to put pilots in.

PACKAGING

The Triad Fighter vehicle came boxed with the Moondancer version 1 figure. 

 

VARIANTS

The Triad Fighter was originally released as part of the series two Action Force Space Force team. The figure Moondancer version one. was included. Moondancer version one had straight arms that could not be articulated. The Triad Fighter was also released as part of Action Force in 1985. It came with the figure Moondancer version 2. G.I. JOE U.S. RELEASE

The Triad Fighter was not released as part of the G.I. Joe line. The figure Moondancer version 2 is a repaint of the G.I. Joe figure Short Fuze who was released in 1983 (straight arm version in 1982).

DATAFILE

Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force and Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the vehicles and characters and had some great artwork.
