Body Mould

Cobra Commander has a Cobra emblem across his chest. He has a silver face mask that often loses its colour from scratches. His blue body is often found to be discoloured (like some of the body is in this example). He came with a laser pistol and this could be be stored on his back. The back had a clever mould so that the pistol could be stored in this way. He has a dagger in sheath on his left upper thigh.

ACCESSORIES

The Cobra Commander came with a laser pistol. The laser pistol could be fitted onto the Cobra Commander’s back and stay in place. The body mould of the Commander had a hole which the laser pistol fitted into.

PACKAGING

Cobra Commander came as a carded figure. Below you can see a figure that was packaged with a Major Bludd weapon as well as the standard laser pistol.

The figure cards continued to have the mail order offer. You collected five medals and could then send off for a free mail order figure. The mail order figure with this series was the Infantryman.

VARIANTS

The second series Red Laser was a repaint of the Cobra Commander.

SOUNDS FAMILIAR

In the comic, Baron Ironblood changed himself into Cobra Commander. You can see this part of the story in the below picture! This helped complete the conversion of the Red Shadows to Cobra.

LOOKS FAMILIAR

The Laser Pistol also came with the second series Red Laser. A black version also came with the the German SATT figure Pirschjager (Stalker) and Baron Eisernblutt.. Blue versions of the weapon were supplied with the German WATT figures Condore and Meteor.
