ACTION FORCE 1985 (THIRD SERIES)

DUKE

Sergeant, Airborne Infantry.

Born: Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

A skilled military operator. Duke leads by example! He recently turned down a commision, preferring action on the front-line. Duke is totally dedicated to saving the world from the Cobra Commander.

Duke came with four different accessories and these included a back pack, machine gun, helmet and binoculars. 

Duke came as a carded figure but was also included in the Action Pack

Body Mould

Duke had a strap across the front of his chest which held moulded ammo clips and a grenade. On his upper right leg he had a moulded gun holster. He had a moulded knife in sheath on his left leg. He had a moulded jacket with the sleeves up his arm. He had moulded trousers and boots. 

ACCESSORIES

Duke came with a sub-machine gun, binoculars, helmet and rucksack. The rucksack had a peg which could be pushed onto his back which had a hole for the peg. The binoculars could be placed over his head. He could hold the gun and wear the helmet.

Duke came as a carded figure and he also came in a special version of the Claw known as the Action Force Action Pack

The figure cards continued to have the mail order offer. You collected five medals and could then send off for a free mail order figure. The mail order figure with this series was the Infantryman.

VARIANTS

The first version had rolled sleeves and the second version had cuffed sleeves. 

G.I. JOE U.S. RELEASE

Despite being released in the U.K. in 1985, Duke was first released in the U.S. in 1983 as a mail in exclusive as part of series two. In 1984 Duke was available as a carded figure in the U.S.

DATAFILE

Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the characters and had some great artwork.
