GERMAN ACTION FORCE

ACTION FORCE 1985 (THIRD SERIES)

RED WOLF VERSION 2

Red Wolf

Roboskull Pilot.

Birthplace: Manchester, England.

An ex-NASA astronaut who trained with the Action Force Triad Captain Moondancer, before being court-marshalled for corruption. Blackmailed into joining the Cobra forces, he’s a reluctant servant who is driven by a relentless desire to prove himself better than Moondancer.

Red Wolf version two came exclusively with the Roboskull version two vehicle. The datafile reads that just like in the second series he has a rivalry with Moondancer as they trained together!

The Roboskull was repackaged as a Cobra vehicle due to overstock. Red Wolf version two is the G.I. Joe figure Wild Weasel. He seems well suited to the Roboskull vehicle as the figure mould for a pilot looks great and he has the right colour scheme (red and black). It is good that they kept the Roboskull in the Cobra vehicle line. With the Skystriker jet and Triad Fighter, Cobra would not seem to have much of a chance in the air with just the F.A.N.G. Helicopter.

SOUNDS FAMILIAR

In the second series Red Wolf version one was replaced with Red Wolf version two. The G.I. Joe fans will recognise Wild Weasel as the Red Wolf version two figure!

G.I. JOE U.S. RELEASE

Despite being released in the U.K. in 1985, the same figure was first released in the U.S. in 1984. He was released as Wild Weasel and came exclusively with the Cobra Rattler.

DATAFILE

Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the characters and had some great artwork.

Despite Red Wolf V2 now being the pilot of the Roboskull, Red Wolf V1 was still shown on the datafile with the Red Shadow emblem!
