Ripcord
H.A.L.O. (High Altitude Low Opening Parachutist).
Born: Manchester, England
Ripcord jumps from high-flying aircraft and drops thousands of feet before opening his ‘chute’ at the last possible moment, thus avoiding detection. Once on the ground, he’s ruthless!
Fully equipped Ripcord looks pretty awesome! Ripcord came with a rifle, parachute harness, facemask and helmet. The facemask has a tube which slots into a hole on the harness.
Ripcord came as a carded figure but was also included in the Action Pack.

Body Mould
Ripcord has camouflage over his torso and legs. He has two breast pockets and a pocket on each leg. He has straps on his crotch on front and back making it look like they are attached to a parachute harness.
ACCESSORIES
Ripcord came with a rifle, harness, helmet and facemask. The facemask tube connects to the harness by sticking into a hole.

Ripcord came as a carded figure but he also came in the Action Force Action Pack.
The figure cards continued to have the mail order offer. You collected five medals and could then send off for a free mail order figure. The mail order figure with this series was the Infantryman.
G.I. JOE U.S. RELEASE
Despite being released in the U.K. in 1985, Ripcord was first released in the U.S. in 1984.
DATAFILE
Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the characters and had some great artwork.
