GERMAN ACTION FORCE

ACTION FORCE 1985 (THIRD SERIES)

COMMAND CENTRE

Command Centre

Action Force Command Centre is a flexible operations centre. When a crisis develops, it can be dismantled and re-assembled in a new location.

It includes: vehicle servicing ramp, jail for prisoners, communications centre, forward gun, helicopter pad, weapons store. Gung-Ho and Stalker are experts at manning the Command Centre.

The Action Force Command Centre was the largest playset available in the series. The second series Z Force Command Centre was also released in the third series. It came with exactly the same parts.

The Command Centre has a vehicle servicing ramp, position for the tank, jail, communications centre, forward gun, helicopter pad and weapons store. It came with a number of small red parts including two cameras, two search lights, two guns, a flag, a radar dish and an aerial. These red parts can be hard to find.

The second series Command Centre had a more defined camouflage design on the walls. The third series Command Centre had a less defined and blurred camouflage design.

PLEASE NOTE...

The below pictures are of the second series walls as I do not currently have a third series version with the more blurred camouflage design. The picture to the right shows what the blurred third series design looks like.

PARTS OF STRUCTURE

PARTS (NON STRUCTURAL)

The Command Centre came with a huge amount of parts and accessories.

PACKAGING

The Command Centre came boxed with the figures Gaucho and Jammer. The third series had the same box as the second series.

FIGURES

The Command Centre version two came with Gaucho and Jammer, just like series two.

In 1985, the Palitoy Trade Catalogue shows the Command Centre being supplied with the figures Gung-Ho and Stalker. However, no versions that came with Gung-Ho and Stalker have ever been found and no box has been found that shows these figures with the set. Palitoy used alot of prototypes in their cataloges!

The datafile for the Command Centre also states that Gung-Ho and Stalker are experts in manning it!

Included Figure- Gaucho

The Gaucho figure was included with the Command Centre. Click on his picture to see his guide.

Included Figure- Jammer

The Jammer figure was included with the Swamp Skier/ Chameleon vehicle. Click on his picture to see his guide.

VARIANTS

The Command Centre was released as part of the second series but it was also released as part of the 1985 series. They came with the same parts but the walls had a different camouflage design.

The second series Command Centre had a more defined camouflage design on the walls. The third series Command Centre had a less defined, blurred camouflage design.

The third series had the same box as the second series. Due to overstock it was not changed.

G.I. JOE U.S. RELEASE

In 1983 the Headquarters, Command Centre was released as part of the G.I. Joe toy line. It was a different colour, had different stickers and had a different box to the Action Force version. Amazingly (for a toy this size), it did not come with any figures! It was also released in 1984 and 1985.

You can see pictures of my two different Command Centres together below.

DATAFILE

Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the vehicles and characters and had some great artwork.
