GERMAN ACTION FORCE

ACTION FORCE 1985 (THIRD SERIES)

HYENA

HYENA

Cobra’s high-speed all-terrain vehicle. Its wide, strong tracks enable it to cover very rough ground and steep gradients. Armed with elevating twin guns.

The Hyena Tank came with a Hyena Tank Driver (who was identical to the Escape Armour Pilot).

The front canopy opened so that a driver could be seated inside. Another figure could also be placed in the top gun turret. Two figures could also be stood on a back panel. The guns could move up and down and the gun turret could be moved around in a full circle.

The Hyena also had a tow hook and could tow other vehicles such as the A.S.P.

VARIANTS

The Hyena was a repaint of the G.I. Joe H.I.S.S. Tank. The Red Shadows Hyena was released in 1983-1984. It was the same as the Cobra Hyena but was red and came with the Red Jackal figure. The Red Shadows Hyena and Cobra Hyena both had dark grey tracks and guns. The GI Joe version came with black guns and tracks.

The Red Shadows Hyena was released in 1983-1984. Due to overstock a Cobra sticker was placed over the Red Shadows emblem on the box and it was sold as a series three Cobra vehicle! The red Hyenas with Cobra stickers came with varying figures. Some came with Red Jackal and others the Hyena Driver.
