2 Para

The 2 Para are the parachute regiment in the British Army. The Action Force 2 Para figure came with a brown detonator and an M60 machine gun.

The same body mould was used for the First Series British Marine and the Second Series Z Force Captain.

The 2 Para was based on the original Action Man Parachute regiment uniform. He was released as part of the second wave of figures on 2nd October 1982.

Body Mould

The 2 Para has a moulded red beret on his head. His uniform is all a green camouflage. He has pockets on his breast, side pockets on his hips and two more pouches and a sleeping bag pouch on his lower back. He has some webbing that goes down his chest, over his shoulders and down his back. He had his rank symbol on his shoulder.

ACCESSORIES

The 2 Para came with an M60 machine gun and a brown Detonator. You can click the images below to view the M60 and Detonator pages.

The stamp inside the Detonator reads “GMPG 1981.”

PACKAGING

The 2 Para figure came as a carded figure.

File Card

On the back of the card back you could see pictures of other figures and vehicles available in the Action Force line. There was also a mail order offer for the Commander figure. Each figure had a form on the back of the card and one medal with a number in it. Five medals could be attached to the form and sent off to get a Commander figure.

VARIANTS

The 2 Para was a variant of the British Marine and the Second Series Z Force Captain.

LOOKS FAMILIAR

The M60 machine gun also came with the first series Desert Rat. It also came with the second series Stakeout (Boat Patrol), Z Force Sapper, SAS Battle Gear pack and an Enemy Battle Gear pack.
