Son of a Liverpool docker. Jailed for armed robbery but released on condition he joined Action force. Since then a reformed character and has made Assault Landings in small boats his speciality. Expert in use of small calibre weapons of all types.

Stake-Out came in the S.A.S. Boat Patrol set. This set contained a boat with gun and motor. It also included an M60 machine gun, black machete, back pack with weapon strap, black detonator and paddle.

Body Mould

Stake-Out has a moulded pointed cap. He has ammo belts across his chest and over his back. He has grenades on his left chest. The SAS emblem is on both shoulders. He has a knife and water bottle in the small of his back. He has ammo holders on his left and right hips. 

 

ACCESSORIES

Stake-Out came with an M60 machine gun, black machete, black detonator, paddle and a weapons strap backpack. If you click on the accessory images below you will be taken to a page dedicated to that weapon and its variants. Strangely he did not come with a life vest.

PACKAGING

The Boat Patrol set (Stake-Out) came carded (2A card) as well as in a box (2C box).

File Card

Information about the figure could be found on the back of the figures file card (the Datafile information). Each figure also had an individual medal number for the mail order offer. The SAS Boat Patrol number was 32. Two medals were provided with this set as it would have been more expensive. 

VARIANTS

Stake-Out version one had straight trousers. Version two had pockets on his thighs and ties on the calves. Version three was like version one but with flat hands. Version four was like version two but with flat hands.

Stake-Out was a variant of the First Series Commando, the Second Series SAS Commando and the Second Series Z Force Sapper. His figure mould was also used for the German figures Seewolf and Schnellfeuer.

 

LOOKS FAMILIAR

The M60 machine gun also came with the first series 2 Para and Desert Rat. It also came with the second series, Z Force Sapper, SAS Battle Gear pack and an Enemy Battle Gear pack.

The black detonator, M60 and machete also came with the SAS Commando and SAS Battle Gear.

The black weapons strap backpack also came with the first series Night Patrol and second series Infantryman. It also came with the German Spurhund and Seewolf figures.

DATAFILE

Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the characters and had some great artwork.
