The Bionic Six toyline was produce by LJN in 1986. The series consisted of thirteen figures, five vehicles and one playset. Unlike alot of other toys, the figures were made of a combination of die-metal and plastic. A cartoon featureing that characters ran for two series from 1987 and had 65 episodes. The storyline was that the characters are a family of machine-enhanced humans. Each of them possessed a specific bionic power and they thus formed a superhero team called the Bionic Six. They got their powers from Professor Dr. Amadeus Sharp Ph.D (head of the Special Projects Lab).

The bad guy of the series is a mad scientist called Dr Scarab and his henchmen. He also has a legion of drone robots called Cyphrons. Scarab wants to rule the world and become immortal. He believes that the key to this is in his brother (Professor Sharp’s) bionic technology and he plans to steal it!

The metal figures are notorious for coming away from theie bubble cards as they were heavier than similar figures of the time. The metal also wears quite easily and they can be tough to get in good condition.
