Body Mould

The Kraken figure was a wonderful figure mould. His arms and legs were covered in green scales, the sides of his head had apparent gills and the back of his head resembled a fin. In the comics the Kraken’s were quite fearsome but the figure almost looks like he is smiling! The red and black uniform also has a Red Shadows emblem on the chest. He has a dagger on his lower left leg.

ACCESSORIES

Kraken came with an electrified net and a Tri-phase pistol.

PACKAGING AND MAIL ORDER OFFER

Kraken came as a carded figure. He was also initially available in a mail order offer by collecting the team badges on  carded figures (badges of Red Shadows, SAS, Q Force, Space Force and Z Force. The mail order offer came in a leaflet in the vehicle boxes and is shown below. There were different variations of the leaflet.

File Card

Information about the figure could be found on the back of the figures file card (the Datafile information). Each figure also had an individual medal number for the mail order offer. Kraken’s number was 45.

VARIANTS

The first version was made of a softer plastic and had a paler chest logo. The second version had a harder plastic.

Although not a variant, a number of Kraken’s were sold that had factory errors. Some had one leg longer than the other and could not be stood up.
