ACTION FORCE 1983-1984 (SECOND SERIES)

Z FORCE JEEP

Z Force Jeep

The Z Force Jeep was a repaint of the First Series AF3 vehicle. It came with the figure Wheels.

Four figures could fit into the jeep in total.

The Z Force Jeep came in nice camouflage colours of green and black. It was obviously a repaint of the First Series AF3 but unlike the AF3 it did not come with the boat. The SAS Boat Patrol could be bought separately and this could be used as a roof for the Z Force Jeep.

It came with the figure Wheels who was a repaint of the Z Force Infantryman figure. It came with a red gun black windscreen and black aerial. There were multiple holes so the gun and aerial could be placed in different places. It has a steering wheel but this cannot be removed.

Four figures in total could be put in the vehicle. Two at the front and two at the back.

VARIANTS

The Z Force Jeep was identical (except in colour) to the first series Action Force AF3 vehicle. The first series AF3 came with a boat which acted as a roof as well. The Second series did not have the boat included but a second version of the boat was released as the SAS Boat Patrol. It may have been that the makers saw an opportunity for making more money this way (be selling two products separately instead of together).

The German version was called the Blitz-Buggy.

LOOKS FAMILIAR

The red gun also came with the first series AF3 Jeep, the AF5 Multi Mission Vehicle, the  AF7 Deep Sea Diver vehicle and the Headquarters. It also came with the German version of the Z Force Jeep, the Blitz-Buggy.

G.I. Joe U.S. release

Neither the Action Force AF3 or Z Force Jeep were sold as part of the G.I. Joe line.

DATAFILE

Datafiles could be found in the Battle Action Force comics. They contained lots of information about the vehicles and characters and had some great artwork.
