German Action Force
In 1983, West Germany released their versions of Action Force as Anti-Terror Teams and a Terror Team. The ‘good’ teams were Anti-Terror or Police (instead of military) teams. The military aspect of the Action Force toys was taken out and this can be seen in the figure descriptions. The Terror Team was called the Terror Bande and wer eled by Baron Eisenblut.
The logos on the figures were also changed. The Red Shadows skull emblem was not used. At this time in West Germany there was strongly anti-violent sentiment. Instead of replica guns the toys had weapons that looked less-real and more like fantasy or futuristic weapons. The German toy boxes for the vehicles were all cardboard and did not have plastic windows like in other countries.
The Battle Action Force comics were not available in Germany and so there was no background to the toy line. To remedy this a small description was written on the front of the cards. You can find this description at the bottom of the page.
The German versions of the toys tend to be harder to find. Please note I do not have pictures of the red, blue and black laser pistols so I have just added colour to the standard black/grey ones to help show what they look like in the guides.

Background story....
The Battle Action Force comics were not available in Germany and so there was no background to the toy line. To remedy this, a small description was written on the cards:
“Die Welt der Action Force. Die Handlung der Action Force spielt im Jahre 2011. Die Völker der Erde leben schon lange in Frieden und Freiheit geeint unter einer demokratischen Weltregierung. Baron Eisenblut, der letzte Verbrecher, terrorisiert mit einer Bande versklavter Abenteurer, mit denkenden Robotern und modernsten Wunderwaffen die Welt. Sein Ziel : die Übernahme der Weltherrschaft. Action Force wurde von der Weltregierung eingesetzt und kämpft mit den verschiedenen Spezial-Einheiten ATT, SATT, TSATT und WATT gegen diesen gefährlichen Feind. Der Befehl lautet : Alle Terroristen gefangennehmen, niemand darf getötet werden.”
This translated to:
“The world of the Action Force. The plot of Action Force takes place in the year 2011. The world population lives in peace and liberty, united under the rule of a democratic world regime. Baron Ironblood, the last criminal, strikes terror with a gang of enslaved adventurers, with thinking robots and the world’s most innovative weapons. His goal: to take over the world. Action Force was set up by the world government and fights this dangerous enemy with various special units ATT, SATT, TSATT and WATT. The orders are: all terrorists must be captured, no one shall be killed”
